“SAG HARBOR SESSIONS”

West first signed to Warner Bros. in 2001. The artist moved to Sag Harbor, Long Island, where she created a home studio by the beach.

She then brought her co-producer, Brian Gitkin, and engineer Valarie Gamarnik - and several other bandmates / Brooklyn collaborators (credits coming soon) up to stay with her at the beach house and record new tracks for her freshman commercial release. Sag Harbor Sessions became the demos and bones for West’s 2003 Holy Road: Freedom Songs album. The recordings were slowly buried. Now they’re finally being unearthed, released in both streaming and exciting made-to-order Limited Special Edition Vinyl Album.
