This was Lizzie’s first time back on stage in NYC since she left the Music Business 20+ years ago. Scott joins her at the main table, ready to cheer her on.
Lizzie and Scott began working together through Volunteer Lawyers For The Arts in 2024. The Artist applied for help starting her new artist/fan owned and run cooperative business model, Because of You Management Group LLC.

The Artist has a major background in deal making and fundraising for her work over the last thirty years. She has worked with her Major label, Independent Label, Non-Profit Patrons, Independent Investors, and Business Advisors, to keep her work, companies, and life purpose safe.
In Fall 2024, Scott Shelley came on board, at first, as Lizzie’s VLA Sponsored - Producer Agreement Lawyer. He returned in 2025 and took on the major work of serving to finalize Company Formation, oversee Artist safety, relocation, valuations, and fundraising strategy, and, ultimately, to create Profit Interest Agreements - which is happening now.
Over the course of the last couple years, Scott became Lizzie’s Full Scope Manager and General Counsel.
Scott works with Lizzie as Captain of the Because of You Enterprise. He leads an empowering, and growing, - well diversified - Group of people from the Entertainment Business, and beyond, to help the Artist make crucial decisions during great achievement moments, as well as during storms, emergencies, or threats. He joins with fans around the world to co-found Because of You Management Group with Lizzie and welcomes your questions about investing.
